Make Homemade Mango Jam
Mango Jam Recipe
1 C water
1 ½ C sugar
1 Tbs vinegar
Peel and cut mangos into 1/2 inch pieces. Put in blender with water Bring to a boil on medium high. Then reduce heat to medium and boil slowly for about 30 minutes, stirring frequently.
Reduce heat to med-low and simmer for another 30 minutes, stirring frequently, until thickened.
Move pot from stove and set aside to cool.
Transfer into jars.
This recipe makes about 12 ounces.
Of course you can increase the amount if you need to.
Jam should simmer at a very slow boil. Adjust the heat if necessary. If it is too high, it will burn.
If you are making more than you can eat in a reasonable amount of time, seal the jars with paraffin.
